Karen Wilcox, PhD, University of Utah and Scott Baraban, PhD, UCSF are co-leading this important neuroscience meeting. Research using STXBP1 in zebrafish will be included.

“Park City Epilepsy Meeting: Cutting Edge Approaches to Transform Epilepsy Therapy Development” to be held from October 15 th -17th, 2023. This meeting is a follow-up meeting to the successful Park City Epilepsy Meeting held in 2019 and the Anticonvulsant Drug Development (ADD) Program Symposium in 2015. The overall objectives of the conference are to explore how innovative breakthroughs in neuroscience can be leveraged to rapidly develop new treatments for people with epilepsy and to encourage junior investigators to pursue a career in epilepsy research. Participants will be mindful of how innovative breakthroughs in neuroscience can contribute to the development of therapies that can address a wide spectrum of epilepsies, and several speakers were selected for their research into rare genetic epilepsies.
