Financials and Transparency

As a 501c3 non-profit organization, we embrace the values of transparency and accountability in all we do, and we work hard to ensure our organization is adhering to all applicable laws and regulations. Our 501c3 was established under the STXBP1 Foundation and may also operate as STXBP1 Disorders. It was important to our board that we did not lose the branding and relationships that were built under the STXBP1 Disorders name, so we decided to bring this brand forward.

Our Board of Directors has made personal contributions towards the initial operational expenses of the STXBP1 Foundation. In addition, we are a 100% volunteer-run organization and maintain minimum operating expenses. This enables the STXBP1 Foundation to maximize our donors’ contributions toward our goal of accelerating treatments and hopefully a cure for STXBP1 disorders.
